We won the highly contested educational commission to design a new school hall, foyer and administration block. We used contemporary architectural forms to highlight the entry into the school, using a simple palette with green to bring focus to a sculpted flame centrepiece. The design exceeded the functional requirements, while welcoming visitors and presenting a new showcase of what the school stood for. A project that re-imagined the school after an arson attack, exemplifies a ‘phoenix from the ashes’ solution.
